We realize that the welfare and proper management of workers is as crucial to the organization as is ship recycling in a responsible greener manner.
We provide all the facilities to the workers as well as maintain all the safe working practices for their betterment and improvement in our organization.

HEALTH MANAGEMENT

We have robust health management system at our facility. All the workers are checked by qualified doctors on regular basis. We have an Occupational Health Center. We have trained First- Aid team that can respond in case of any emergency.

We also have an ambulance which can take injured person to the nearby hospital. We also undertake medical emergency drill for awareness.

SAFETY MANAGEMET

1. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT :-

We provide the workers tested and certified PPEs in order to prevent any damage or harm that can be caused during various work processes.

2. Marking and labelling :-

We mark all the areas over the vessel specifying areas which are safe for entrance and areas which are prohibited to enter without authorization

3. EMERGENCY RESPONSE KIT OVER THE VESSEL :-

We keep an emergency kit over the vessel always on standby to ensure that any emergency situation is dealt with in a safest and fastest manner without any type of casualties.

4. SAFE WORK PROCEDURES :-

We follow all the safe working procedures in order to maintain a accident free work and prevent worker’s from damage and harm.

A. COLD WORK PROCEDURE

Places where hot work is not allowed cold wok is issued after following proper procedures. In cold work permit, spark resistor tools are only used.

B. WORKING IN CONFINED SPACE PROCEDURE

Before entering and working in confined spaces, proper ventilation is made for flow of air. Safety officer inspects for presence of any flammable or toxic gases in these spaces with the help of gas detectors. He provides certified tripods to workers when working in these spaces

C. HOT WORK PROCEDURE

When hot work is required, proper safety precautions are taken by safety officer. He ensures that Fire Extinguisher, water bucket, sand, fire pump are placed nearby for handling of fire emergency.

D. WORKING AT HEIGHT PROCEDURE

In a vessel, most of the work is to be done at height. Safety Officer issues working at height permit to workers after having a tool box meeting and providing them related protective equipments like safety belt, harness, fall back arrestor etc.

5. BARRICATION :-

We barricade the open ends of the vessel areas in order to keep it accident free.

6. EMERGENCY EVACUATION PATHWAY :-

We have marked the emergency evacuation pathway to ensure steady and fast evacuation to the EMERGENCY ASSEMBLY AREA during any emergency situation.

PRACTICES DURING DEBUNKERING

We follow a safe debunkering/oil removal procedure avoid any health & safety damage as well as any environmental damage.
